Emory University's Road to Recovery

Watch the Recording

The COVID-19 pandemic had an unprecedented impact on people everywhere - and transit providers have had to adapt in order continue to meet the needs of riders in a safe, flexible manner while commuting habits continued to change.

Emory University is one of the largest employers in Atlanta, GA, operating both fixed route and on-demand services for both their university and healthcare system. Their transit operation consists of 52 buses, providing 3 million trips and over 100,000 hours of service per year.

In this recording, you'll learn about:

  • How Emory deployed flexible services in response to decreased ridership.
  • How they continue to support the students, faculty, and front-line healthcare workers that rely on their service.
  • How they've planned for recovery in a way that may permanently change their service offerings for the better.
